change in plans

a couple weeks ago i showed the p-man how the games that come with kde are made. as he realized that they were something that pretty much anyone with the know-how and determination could make, his eyes widened and he informed me he was no longer going to be a police officer as was the previous plan even though that meant his friend at school was now going to have to find a new partner to drive in his police car with him. instead he decided he is going to grow up and make games. he even promised to send me them as he made them over the internet (because we'd be living in different houses by then, he informed me).

he made up a pretend laptop the other day out of some cardboard, complete with a fold-up screen and proper keyboard. he put a kde logo on the lid of it, wrote "i love kde" on it and informed me that he was going to "work for kde" when he grew up.

so perhaps there'll be another seigo in kde's about boxes for kde 5, this time in the kdegames package ;)

Must be something in the air this winter. My 4 year old discovered the level editor in Supertux after finishing the game and has now made some levels for himself. Some nasty tricks in there too, like holes in the floor on the background hidden by a block in the foreground. He must get that from his mother :)

I'm quite new to your blog, so I didn't realise at first who the p-man was ;) I guess I'll have to read up a little more ;)
