As announced on theDot, KDE 4.2 beta 2 is out! Check out the 4.2 beta 2 announcement for an idea of what's in it and how to get it.
I'm already seeing bug reports from beta2 rolling in, so that's great. Join the army of KDE testers to help us identify and root out remaining issues in 4.2 so that we can make the 4.2.0 release at the end of January even better!
Also, please take time to install the debug packages for your operating system if installing from binaries. This makes the backtraces actually useful to developers. I still don't understand why distributions don't install them by default for betas.

If Beta1 is of an indication, Beta2 will simply kick ass. Congrats on a great release, and good luck in releasing a truly superb 4.2 :)!
And in somewhat related news, QtCreator beta 2 is out, with source code.
KDE 4.2 is gonna be absolute beautiful, but my nvidia card still makes me cry :(
Keep up the great work, KDE rocks =D
kde 4.2 - greatest thing to happen to the desktop all year! (unless you release kde 4.3 within the next 1.5 weeks)

@Nimes:
It should be fixed in trunk (but missed beta2) - see here:

it seems like the border of widget and window is too thick.
Hi,
personally I'm a big fan of the folder view applet... eh, plasmoid. However if I click on a folder it opens in Dolphin. Is there a way so you can browse from 'inside' the Folder View plasmoid?
Tx
